Production Assistant
Full Time
Carrum Downs, Melbourne
$70K - $75K Neg.
We’re growing the production team at Rove.
We design and build custom 3D-printed titanium wheelchairs in Carrum Downs, combining advanced manufacturing, precision fabrication, and design-led thinking to redefine what mobility looks and feels like.
This isn’t assembly-line work, it’s hands-on, detail-driven fabrication in a small but incredibly fast-moving workshop where quality matters.
About the Role
As a Production Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Production Manager and Founder to help build and assemble ultra-lightweight, custom wheelchairs using titanium, carbon fibre, and composite materials.
You’ll be involved in real builds from start to finish - preparing materials, finishing 3D-printed titanium parts, bonding frames, and assembling completed chairs. You’ll also help us refine processes as we scale, while maintaining extremely high standards for fit, finish, and performance.
If you like being surrounded by tools, materials, and problems to solve, you’ll feel at home here. You'll be working with:
• 3D-printed titanium components
• Carbon fibre and titanium tubing
• TIG welding and paint finishes
• CNC router and workshop machinery
• Hand and power tools including linishers, polishers, die grinders, drills, and saws
This role suits someone who is confident in a workshop environment and takes real pride in their work.
You’ll thrive at Rove if you:
-
Have hands-on workshop or factory experience
-
Care deeply about detail and finish
-
Take initiative and enjoy problem-solving
-
Want to keep learning and levelling up your skills
-
Enjoy working in a small team with high standards
Formal qualifications aren’t required — we hire based on attitude, capability, and potential.
Experience
Essential
-
Previous experience working in a workshop or factory environment
Preferred
-
Precision fabrication or finishing experience
Rove is not a traditional mobility company.
We’re design-led, quality-obsessed, and focused on building products we’re genuinely proud of. Our workshop is collaborative, hands-on, and driven by people who care about what they’re making and why it matters.
